Leucojum aestivum were found growing naturally in large parts of Europe. They require a moist location to allow them to grow well in the wild. Leaves develop during the winter months and may be affected or damaged by frost and other conditions. The flower stems each have three to five clock-shaped flowers, decorated with a green top on each sepal. They are best planted in a location that offers protection from the sun or light shade.
